Resume

I  am an inter-media artist, creating a range of video-based work including installations, performances, objects and prints. My work deals with subjective, embodied mediations of cities, bodies and personal narratives, exploring performed, humanized patterns within the apparatus of technology via digital machines of transformation that I construct – I work as a media manipulator, using and abusing the tools with which the electronic version of reality is made.

On May 2010 I was honored to be selected as the School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s inaugural recipient of the Edes Foundation Award for Emerging Artists, and on June 2011 I was among the 10 recipients of the Israeli Ministry of Culture Emerging Artist Award. I’ve exhibited and performed internationally in festivals, music venues, museums and galleries in China, North America, Israel and Europe. I hold an MFA in Art & Technology from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2010, Full Merit Fellowship), and a B.Ed (Hons.) in Multidisciplinary Art Education from the Midrasha School of Art in Beit Berl College, Israel (2006). I’m currently a Visiting Artist and Assistant Professor of New Media Art at the College of Visual Art + Design at the University of North Texas.
